The way a groom looks at his bride is one of the biggest indicators of how the day is going to go as far as photos are concerned. That look is everything. It makes brides less nervous and less concerned with the details of the day, it sorta just takes them out of the stress and into the moment. We always focus so much on brides but I just love a super supportive, laid back groom who visibly adores and well, is smitten by his bride and can't hide it. Lynn was pretty laid back anyways so his adoration of her just made things even better. You could tell they have a great friendship which I think is sometimes lost in the mix of what we consider love. Great love is built on a great friendship. I enjoyed working with them so much and I'd really love to do this again when there are babies involved....just tossing that out into the universe!
This first photo is one of my all time favorites because they have such a good connection. I love the way they are looking at each other and the energy in it is just sums up them and the whole day. This is why I love movement in photos so much. It takes us out of awkward standing and let's your body just sort of be free and magical things happen.
I couldn't be happier with how the day went and it was awesome to shoot at Yarrow again. I love this venue! I want to shoot at this place a million more times and twirl on this deck at sunset forever!
Ummm so this food was amazing. So much so that it made it into this blog post of my most favorite things, haha. I had the chicken on the right and I've had a lot of wedding food in my day and this chicken was top 10. I don't know what was in that magical sauce but I want to eat it every day of my life.
Since most of our work is based on word of mouth we will often have past wedding clients as guests of weddings and it's always so great to see them with new little humans! Somehow, their wedding didn't seem to get blogged which is nuts because it was amazing so I will probably do that this winter when things are slow but you can see their engagement photos here.
While editing, I noticed all these shots that happened to have this guy in the blue shirt in them and we seem to catch him at the worst (or best! haha) times!
This was literally our last shot before leaving. Perfect? YES!
