Well well, wedding season is FINALLY here! We kicked off our season with Kristen and Brandon at Yarrow in Augusta Michigan. In typical Michigan fashion, the weather changes constantly and we were racing against rain. It almost never rains all day so we sorta have to pick and choose the perfect moments to get outside. However, we got lucky and it only rained in the morning and a little in the afternoon. I swear it could snow the morning of a wedding and then be 70 degrees and sunny a few hours later.
The big bonus of having a rainy wedding day is that it typically does clear up and leaves behind great clouds and dark skies. The shot above is my favorite since the sky was all stormy still but not raining anymore. It was part of my marathon round of sunset photos which I think is the most fun of all!
Regardless of the weather, everyone was just happy to be there and enjoy the day with them. Watching people become family every weekend is one of the many best parts of shooting weddings. Family is such a huge deal and they certainly have a wonderful amount of friends and new family now and it was just a joy to work with everyone.
It was also a joy to shoot this awesome ring. :)
This photo shows off Kristen's stunning teeth. While shooting just the two of them I commented on how amazing they were and it turns out they are one of the first things Brandon really noticed about her. During the best mans speech later that night when people asked him about her, he said she had really great teeth. haha!! It's impossible not to notice them and be both amazed and super jealous!
